Waterfalls and Weather

On my recent drive through the mountains, my traveling companion and I experienced every kind of weather. As you can see here it was sunny, then at the mountains submit is was snowing (!), then on the way down the mountain it rained. In Colorado you don't have to drive through various elevations to experience such a variety of weather, I can recall regular days with four types of weather within hours.

Isn't this the best sweater? Some of you may remember I ordered this beautiful jumper (as the Brit's would say) from the wonderful Kate-Em last year, and it remains my favorite sweater! This time I once again paired it with plaid, because it's fall, and because plaid is great of course. My black and yellow Luxulite set matched perfectly, and I kept the rest of my accessories black but not basic. I suppose my Royal Vintage pumps are a basic for me, as I wear them all the time, but they have such lovely lines that really elevate them to more than just a basic black pump. I wish these shoes came in every color, dark brown and dark navy especially! Also mustard yellow leather, and dark forest green suede...I could go on ;)

I hope you are all having a good week despite the never ending bad world news circumstances. I have been working more hours these past few weeks and I'm so knackered! John Green's new book Turtles All The Way Down came out this week and having a new book to read this weekend is helping me through the week, and I definitely need to go see Blade Runner 2049 again too...

  1. Love the side ruching of the skirt! It adds such an interesting twist to the plaid, very elegant. ❤
