Deco Revival

I had been looking for an ivory or white colored clutch purse all summer, so image how pleased I was to see this off-white Plastiflex clutch pop up for sale on Etsy! The running price for clutches like this in good condition seems to hover around at least 75 dollars (with excellent examples in the $100+ range), and since I snagged this one for under 30 bucks, I was extra excited to add it to my collection! Finally I have an off-white/ivory clutch, and it's my favorite Plastiflex!

I paired the new clutch with my favorite ivory hat, a linen and rayon blend skirt, and a rayon blouse from H&M. I just love the Egyptian revival style print of this top! It was one of several tops I got from H&M last year, even though I try not to shop in the "high street" shops anymore. They rarely make anything that fits with my retro style anyway, so it's usually quite an easy rule to stick to. My jewelry here is ivory celluloid except for the bracelet which is carved bone. I wear my ivory colored celluloid jewelry all summer long, it is a good set to have for spring and summer styling for sure! The shoes are from Bait footwear, but I snagged mine on Ebay.

I hope you are all having a good week! I am starting full time work again as of next week so I am a bit intimidated by the loss of time. I have fallen down from 5 posts a week to usually around 3 here on the ol' blog in the past year, but hopefully I can still keep up around the same schedule even with my new hours moving forward. Plus it's fall soon and fall is the best outfit season in my opinion!

Top: H&M
Skirt: Made by me
Clutch, Jewelry, and Hat: Vintage

  2. Love, love, love this outfit! My turquoise skirt is one of my favourites, so this really appeals to me, as well as the fact that it's 1930s separates. The print on the blouse is beautiful. xx

    1. Thank you Porcelina! Sorry to have gotten your hopes up, it was H&M but from last spring! I do wonder if the US and the UK get the same pieces usually?

  6. SHUT UP! This blouse is from H&M!? I was for sure thinking it was either vintage or you made it! It's absolutely amazing! And I adore the color and cut of the skirt you made!

    1. Thanks Janey! Last year H&M did a bunch of simple blouses in nice vintage appropriate prints in rayon crepe for spring and I snapped up a few, it was a rare "high street" find for sure!
