Snow white vibes, or is it just the color palette here which makes me think so? This is officially my "Peggy Carter" dress, but this time I styled it after a different Disney lady instead (after all, Marvel is owned by Disney now right?). Also, yes, I did just wear this hat on the blog recently, but here it is again as I just adore it. This time I added a red crochet snood too for more of a Renaissance feel. Fairy tales in the woods, but no little animals offered to help me clean the house so I must be doing something wrong...
Thank goodness for the three day weekend this week as I'm just exhausted for some reason. The end of the summer has be beat, I'm ready for relaxing cosy fall knitting and chi tea lattes. I need motivation! I have so much sewing to do for fall, and some truly spectacular fabrics waiting to be turned into frocks. I even found a fall leaves print rayon on Etsy that is just to-die-for gorgeous! All I need now is the energy to sew everything up, better go get more coffee so I can be productive!
Though speaking of Disney, I'll be off to Disneyland again soon!! It will be a quick 48 hour trip to California, but perhaps the happiest place on earth can reinvigorate my spirit before we launch into fall. There's nothing like a dose of Disney magic (and the thrill of Space Mountain) to clear the mind of sluggish distractions :)
I hope you all have a lovely Labor day, be it a productive one or a relaxing one (I'm going to try and go for both!).

Haha I had the wishing well song stuck in my head as I clicked and I was going to tell you about the coincidence... only to find it was intentional! Well played, madam, well played!
ReplyDeleteI love the new outfit. And I'm digging the flower crown + snood thing!
Intentional indeed ;) I quite like me some Snow White, Disney princess movies are one of my weaknesses <3
DeleteI loved Agent Carter. I was so annoyed it didn't get renewed. That's afab dress, and very Peggy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mim! And me too...I haven't recovered from Netflix not picking it up! *rage* Such a bummer!
DeleteI love hoe you have used the yellows and reds throughout to give the dress totally different look - delicious! Kx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love primary colors together so I knew just how I wanted to style this dress for early fall :)
DeleteI'm local and a pass holder. Maybe I'll see you at Trader Sams! :)
ReplyDeleteI am jealous! I totally intend to hit up Trader Sams too as I have never been before ;)
DeleteBeautiful colours, I love them together!
ReplyDeleteThank you Porcelina! Can't go wrong with primary colors together <3
DeleteI LOVE this hat and snood combo! The whole outfit is gorgeous and I too now have the song stuck in my head.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tanith! All of your recent snood talk had me reaching for mine even if my hair is only just barely long enough to work in one right now!
DeleteI love these bright colours together, such a fabulous outfit. Chai tea lattes and knitting and sewing sound like perfect autumn activities.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate!
DeleteWould you ever consider making patterns? I can never find vintage plus size patterns, and I ADORE your dresses!
ReplyDeleteThank you Talar! I would really love to make patterns one day, I just have to figure out how to make the different sizes first which is unfortunately no easy task!
