That's right, I'm holding my first ever giveaway here on The Closet Historian! As it's Thanksgiving this week here in the US, and I am ever so thankful to each of you for stopping by to read this little blog of mine! It means the world to me, and every comment brings a smile to my face. Thank you all for sharing my posts, the knitting tips, your comments, and each and every encouraging word. I started this blog over two years ago to radio silence and never would have kept it up without all of you showing up and inspiring me to keep blogging!
I have bundled a few vintage finds and some of my handmade jewelry into a fun group of goodies! The giveaway idea really began when I thrifed a copy of The Survey of Historic Costume. Seeing as I already had the current version from my college days, I knew I had to pass on the vintage copy to one of you! Spreading the joy of historic costume is one of my life goals after all :) Slowly a little stack of things grew into a giveaway worthy pile!
The giveaway includes:
-1 pair of handmade glass bead earrings
-1 long 1920's style beaded necklace in tones of red
-A vintage small Pendelton plaid wool handbag
-A vintage silky polyester scarf in red and grey with blue flowers
-A teal 1920's celluloid hair comb
-Survey of Historic Costume textbook (second edition)
-The Encyclopedia of Historic Costume by Doreen Yarwood
-Poiret Fashion Design Paper Dolls Booklet by Tom Tierney
-The Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior
To enter the giveaway, simply comment on this post telling me what you are most thankful for this year. In addition if you would like to spread the word and share this post on facebook I will count the share as an additional entry! All names will be put into a hat* and the winner selected at random and announced next week. Good luck everybody!
*yes I may just write them out and really use a hat, because it is more fun that way :)

ReplyDeleteI turned thirty this year and feel like I'm finally settling into myself. My twenties were kind of a mixed up, unsure time that I am so thankful to be coming out of. I'm finally accepting my own weirdness instead of just admiring it in others. mer.marty@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my family. I know life wouldn't be the same without them, corny as it sounds!
