Golden Hour

That fleeting moment of golden light before sunset, well that's the only time I had left to squeeze in photos of my outfit! At least it is some beautiful light, even if we were on a time crunch as the sun sank quickly away. This daylight savings nonsense is no help to outfit bloggers!

This blouse was the first sort of trial run of my new bow blouse pattern, and the bow is just cut too low, so it is a bit more scandalous than intended if I don't remember to keep pulling it up a bit. It doesn't help that the weight of the bow pulls it down, so I have to be careful with this one! I would have never thought to pair this mostly navy blouse with a brown skirt (so many neutrals!) but I really think it works somehow. I really just wanted to wear my new vintage feather hat that I picked up one etsy recently! I love the colors in the feathers, just so pretty, it's a very good Thanksgiving season hat!

The bad news is that it is supposed to snow tonight, so I can kiss all these pretty fall leaves goodbye, which is such a bummer as I love having the world be little more colorful. I guess winter can only be held at bay for so long, I'll be soaking up the gold as long as I can!

  1. Incredibly pretty photos and outfit. The light here is glisteningly glorious and feels like a big, warm hug from Mother Nature.

    1. Thank you Jessica! Sometimes a time crunch can work out in a photographer's favor I suppose :)

  2. The evening autumn light is just gorgeous here! Love your hat and brooch. It's turned very wet here, still mild, but no outdoor outfit photos for me for a while! Xx

    1. Thank you Kate! I had to have a feather hat, the trouble was finding one light enough it wouldn't just blend right into my hair!
