These are the last of my photos from the mountains, and just look at those aspens glow! Golden yellow is one of my favorite fall colors, and here in Colorado I am spoiled rotten with aspens glittering in the sun.
All those vintage Pendelton ads went straight to my head and I bought a length of plaid (a super soft flannel in this case) from Joanns during one of their sales to make a big full circle skirt. As much as I love pencil skirts, circle skirts are even easier to construct. Since they don't even have waist darts I can sew a skirt like this up super quick, but the hemming goes on forever! I paired the skirt with a style of top we at Banana Republic call the "snitty" (soft knit), a nice soft jersey wrap front top. I have 5 of this same knit top! I bought two (this black one and a light grey) myself on sale last year, and then my mom gave me three of her's from the year before that she never wore! I have heard a rumor we might be bringing back the style yet again this year so I am keeping an eye on new merchandise when it comes in!
The silver acorn jewelry set was a recent purchase from Etsy. I need to block that website I swear! It was so perfect for fall I had to have it. I love when I can get a whole paruer for a deal, can't beat having a set!
