Fall at the Denver Zoo

Some of you may remember from last year how I enjoy a good visit to the Denver Zoo! I finally made it down there again this past week, before it starts to get really cold here! We're supposed to drop down into frigid temperatures tomorrow, so for now I shall admire the sunshine and beautiful animals I managed to capture in these photographs while the chill rolls in.

  1. Beautiful photos one and all - I especially those of the peacock and the bear. The latter are native to Canada of course and three of the former, though not indigenous to the area, have resided in the nearby community of Naramata and are mascots for the area now (no one knows for sure where they came from, but hearty bunch that they are, they've managed to survive so far).

  2. Amazing photos! I can't get enough of zoos. Significant amounts of time in my childhood were spent visiting the zoos local to every place we lived and holidayed in!

    1. Thanks Tanith! I too love the zoo, I can't help but wish the animals had bigger enclosures most of the time though. They are renovating the aviary at the Denver zoo and I hope to see bigger environments for all the beautiful birds they have!
