Shades of Green

I picked up this really great molted green cotton sateen fabric in Joanns bargain red tag area and what an excellent find it was! I am a big fan of the color green, and this fabric incorporates so many different shades, along with black, making it a snap to style. This time I paired the dress with black accessories and a mint green Luxulite brooch and earrings set, but I can imagine styling it with olive green, chartreuse, or white in the future. Gotta love some versatility!

It definitely isn't sweater weather just yet here in Colorado, it was 92 degrees today :( I really can't wait to layer on the suits and sweaters so I hope it cools off a bit soon. I'm not asking for snow here (I never am...) but a nice autumn breeze never hurt anyone!

Dress: Made by me
Shoes: Modcloth
Belt, Gloves, & Handbag: Vintage
Jewelry: Luxulite

    1. Aw thank you Harlow! It does feel rather Joan now that you mention it ;) The lipstick is NYX liquid suede in the shade cherry skies. I love NYX liquid suedes, I have way too many of them!

  3. Wonderfully beautiful! I adore how that Luxulite brooch both blends into and yet subtly jumps out from the elegant background pattern of your dress.

  4. Great colours in this dress, the Luxulite brooch is a perfect addition. What is the interesting looking building that is in the background?

    1. Thank you Kate! It's actually a building on the Denver University campus where my brother went to school. The campus has lots of lovely architecture, which is useful for a blogger ha ha!
