I may have deep love for an LBD, but I also adore a black pencil skirt. I had a bunch of black sateen left over from making my black circle skirt earlier this year so I threw together a new pencil skirt. I even have more left over so I want to make a cute 50's bolero soon to match both skirts! Now I just need a black wool pencil skirt and my collection of LBS will be complete.
This rose print top is one of my warm weather favorites, Gertie's fabrics for Joanns are always so fun! I have to say I am eagerly waiting for news of another collaboration for fall, I hope she gets to design season after season of fabrics! I just finally picked up the dark metallic blue jacquard from her first fall collection for Fabric Traditions and I may go back for the grey as both were in the red tag area for a bargain price. I do love me some jacquard after all :)
As you can see I've still got the summer sun here in Colorado but there have been a few cooler days that promise sweater weather is coming. Good thing too as I have one sweater in particular that I just can't wait to show you all ;)

Have you had your hair cut? It looks particularly splendid. Another fabulous ensemble x
ReplyDeleteThanks Porcelina! I have, but the stylist messed up the back (left it too long in relation to the front) so I tried my best to trim it how I really wanted it myself! It's not the most even haircut but it works? ha!
DeleteI love the way you have matched a bright top and bottom (ie. shoes) with your black pencil skirt. A real transitional look! Kx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am eager for the temperatures to go down a bit as I can't wait for fall!
DeleteWonder how many of us have that fabric? (looks at my shelves)
