1950's Suit Jacket for Sale

Hey everyone! Just a quick note today to mention I've listed the most gorgeous 50's blazer over in my Etsy shop (visit by clicking here). I had ordered this beautiful jacket for myself, but as it definitely did not fit me I am trying to resell it to a loving home. It is in great condition and the tailoring is truly amazing, it was my dream jacket until it didn't fit! :( Hopefully someone with more appropriate measurements will snatch it up and rock the New Look.

This was definitely a lesson in how to order vintage online for me, as I did not leave myself nearly enough ease in the measurements for this lovely jacket to actually fit! I have since found that when shopping for suiting one should allow at least 2 inches or so wiggle room around your own measurements in the size of the jacket. My new method is to buy suits by the skirt waist measurement, not by the waist measurement of the jacket, as it is a much better gauge of the overall size of the suit!

Thus ends my Etsy self promo ;P, return to regular programming tomorrow!

    1. I know! I can try and get the best rate but shipping is so crazy these days :( I'll measure as soon as I get home from work and let you know!

    2. So sorry it's taken me forever to get back to you! My work schedule is a bit unpredictable right now, but that's not a good excuse! The shoulder to waist is 15 inches (38.1 cm), the shoulder width is 5 inches (12.7 cm), and the sleeve length is 24 inches (61 cm).
