Naturally Midcentury

The first time I saw this abstract print teal fabric laying on the bargain table of my favorite fabric shop, I managed to put it back and leave without buying it. The next time I visited, noticing it was still there, I gave in and brought it home! I really like the strong teal color and the vintage glass buttons I used up the back (and forgot to get a photo of). Sadly this skirt's waistband has stretched since I made it earlier this summer and is now much bigger than I'd like, I should have put twill tape in the waistband!

This blouse was just the first of the sewing projects I have planned for this week! I am in the middle of making a rather fun hat, and the wool yarn for my first sweater just arrived too! So much to create, so little time!

  2. Deeply lovely ensemble! I am head-over-heels for that olive green skirt. It is so timelessly perfect. Swoon!!!

    1. Thank you Jessica! I am so sad the waistband has stretched on this skirt so I am going to have to fix it soon as it is really fun to wear :)
