It was raining off and on this evening so I was in a rush to get some photos of today's outfit! When I made this little summer jacket earlier this year I used remnants from two different pencil skirts, meaning it matches both! So today I wore it again with the green skirt :)
I have been wanting to wear this scarab brooch for forever, but I don't have any other jewelry that matches it well. Not that jewelry always has to be 'matchy' 'matchy' as it were, but I always feel like vintage jewelry was often sold in matching sets and looks better that way. I was going to wear a hat today too, but it was so windy out so I ended up throwing on a scarf instead. I bought this particular scarf on a school trip to Ireland when I was a senior in high school. It has designs from the Book of Kells printed on it and is from the Trinity College gift shop! I wish I had bought more accessories on that trip, and why wasn't I stocking up on the nice Irish wool?
How great are these shoes by the way? I had to have them! As gorgeous as they are, they are not comfortable at all. So that is unfortunate, but sometimes fashion is pain! Aren't they so 1930's sexy librarian?
This week has been crazy busy for me, and I work all weekend again! Next week I will have a lot more time for sewing and crafting, which is good because I have tons of fabric waiting for me in my sewing room!

Gorgeous look today; I didn't think anybody could make "gone fishing" look glam, but you've done it! Lovely brooch and suit, too! The colours are great together.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellie! There was actually one person fishing at this little pond while I was there but he was much less glam :)
DeleteI love the way you wear browns and greens - not such common colours, and you always pull them off brilliantly. And the shoes are awesome! Kx
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have never worn brown until this year really, it has been a surprisingly nice addition!
DeleteSuch a clever idea to make this jacket in two colours and have it match two skirts. Lovely look with the headscarf too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate! It was just luck that I had enough fabric left over from both pencil skirts!
DeleteA giant yes to every stylish, gorgeous element here! Swoon!!! You are rocking this earthy, autumn perfect colour palette so wonderfully, dear gal.

Thank you Jessica! I have so many fun outfits planned for fall, but the weather is still way too warm here so I have to have patience!
