Just a quick little outfit that I wore to work today. The skies were grey again, the weather keeps throwing off my outfit plans! I have lots of fun things lined up but I want real sunlight! It needs to stop raining all day, everyday!
Anyway... This was my attempt at a crown braid hairstyle. I still can't get the hang of it! I have watched so many YouTube videos trying to figure it out to no avail. Perhaps my hair still needs to be a bit longer before I can manage it.
This outfit is a good example of the kind of wardrobe mixing I mentioned in yesterday's post as this top is a modern Forever 21 blouse. Paired with a pencil skirt, it suddenly looks much more vintage! I really liked the print and that it matches both my black and navy pencil skirts! Can't beat versatility for work outfits!
What am I doing in this photo? Jeeze... Skirt: Made by me Top: Forever21 Tights: Berkshire (amazon) Shoes: Modcloth Necklace: Made by me Earrings: Vintage |
Absolutely beautiful outfit. I love your lace heels. Those are honestly some of the prettiest pumps I've ever seen. What a fabulous note to end, so to speak, this outfit with.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, dear gal!

Thank you Jessica! The shoes are from modcloth, they came in ivory too! The only problem is that they are hard to keep clean! I just have to avoid getting them dirty :)
DeleteI hope you have a good weekend too!
I was just admiring your hair do before I read the part where you said you couldn't do it. It doesn't look that way to me, I think it looks gorgeous. I love the surprise if the flowers at the back.
ReplyDeleteWell thank you! I actually have two braids in these photos, instead of the once continuous braid around the head like a crown braid is supposed to be. Flowers hide all hair sins, I have a bunch of different ones for that reason!
