I may not be the largest fan of Valentines Day as a whole, but I do like any excuse for some cute nail art! This is the world's simplest Valentines manicure, all you need are a few different colors of nail polish, a dotting tool or two, and patience. Unless you have very steady hands, the hearts can come out very organic and abstract looking, but I think that only adds to the charm!
Start with a solid color nail, I chose red for obvious reasons!
Wow look! A vintage Boarders rewards card! AKA outta business, old cards make perfect pallets for nail polish though. Have large droplets of polish nearby to dip your dotting tool into.
Start by making two side-by-side dots with the dotting tool. Next take a smaller dotting tool or a toothpick and drag the through the dots lightly to form a heart. Add more polish with the dotting tool if necessary to fill in the heart.
Add more hearts in the either the same or a different color. They can be roughly the same size or you can vary the sizes however you like.
Wait for the hearts to dry, add a nice layer of clear top coat and your done! Cute abstract heart nails for Valentines Day week!
So cute!!! I love that you could take this same heart theme, vary the colours and use it for pretty much any holiday that you happen to adore (lol, yes, I am thinking about black and orange, maybe with some silver, green or purple, for Halloween :)).
