Atomic Age

Just a little outfit post from a very sunny day! This rather mid century "atomic" print dress is one of my favorites to throw on when I want to feel instantly 50s! The sketchy print is a muted but still metallic gold and since the fabric is a thicker twill it gives the rather basic dress a nice structured feel. Of course as the dress is black it matches any accessories, and this time I paired it with red including my candy apple red handbag.

True these aren't the best shots of this dress I'll grant you, since I'm sheltering in the shade of the trees, but you wouldn't blame me if you could feel how hot it was! Anyone have a swimming pool I could lounge in?

Dress: Made by me
Belt, Handbag, Jewelry: Vintage
Shoes: Nine West

  1. That's a smasher of an outfit. I love atomic prints. The gold brooch and red accessories are the perfect finishing touch.
