Though Colorado is rather devoid of castles, again the nearby historic home provided as a stand in Tudor manor. This is the last of my planned Renaissance inspired dresses. I have been holding onto this fabric for ages in my stash. It feels good to finally be making progress through my stash of fabrics! I have to say I am a bit tired of working with brocade after all of my recent projects. I love the look of it, but sewing with this fabric isn't much fun! I will be happy to move onto a different textile for a while. I finally found a better cotton to make my Victorian chemise out of, and now that this dress is done I have no excuse not to be sewing all things Victorian.

ReplyDeleteThank you Gabriela! I wish I had an occasion to wear it too, but it will be a good back-up for next Halloween!

ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAnd a very, very ravishingly one at that. There is the most marvelous blend of femme fatale and goth styling at work here, right down to your raven hued lips. Stunning!
