A Peacock Pencil Skirt

I wore one of my new peacock patterned brocade pencil skirts today to visit my favorite restaurant for lunch and see the Matisse exhibition at the Art Museum. Both stops were divine in their own way, gotta love an afternoon of yummy treats and lovely art. We stopped by the downtown University of Colorado campus (where my mom goes to school) to take photos on this cute little stretch of old Victorian homes. Most now serve as offices for the school, but it's nice that they kept them instead of knocking them down in favor of a shiny new building.

Along with my new skirt, I wore my other new pair of What Katie Did tights in the color chocolate. I really like this color and think they will pair well with a lot of things in my closet. I really hope I can be good and careful as not to ruin them! I am wearing a new lipstick from a company called Colour Pop in the shade Bichette. I really love the dark rich red and the lipstick stays perfectly matte all day. I will be doing a full review of their products for you soon because they are a steal at only $5 each! Not sponsored, I just really like them and want to share!

I really love this modernist/brutalist style brooch from Napier that I picked up on etsy last year. I don't get to wear it too often because it is rather large and heavy. I only wish I had a set of earrings to match. You guys know how I love collecting vintage jewelry, if there are a matching pair out there I will hunt them down! What would I do without etsy?

I hope you all have had a lovely week, happy Friday!

  1. Stunning skirt and whole ensemble. I love the pairing of peacock hues and brown hosiery. It feels fresh and decidedly old school at the same time.
