Eye on Eyelet

I may not have gotten to sewing the black eyelet dress I wanted to make this summer, but I still have been wearing my white eyelet dress with various different accessories! This is why I collect vintage accessories in sets you guys, or rather I make sets by collecting accessories all in the same color to wear as a set. I have worn this same dress with black, navy blue, and now here with bright red. I look forward to styling it with green in the future, or tan leather and natural straw...or dark brown! So many options with a nice neutral dress.

If I could have these same cotton blend gloves in every color of the rainbow I would be ecstatic, but of course that is not how collecting vintage works. I really have been getting closer to just buying white gloves and dying them, something I have attempted once in the past, as my search for chartreuse gloves continues ever on and on with nary even an expensive pair to save up for or pine after. It is nearly true glove season after all, fall is the prime time for gloves I think! I have already switched over to buying for fall, and scooped up a lovely pair of dark purple gloves recently in this endeavor. I told myself I wouldn't be buying any fall fabrics this year, and then I accidentally looked at the new stuff at Joanns and ended up getting nine yards of rayon crepe that day...So my spending habits as usual leave much to be desired in the way of patience and thrift.

I hope you are all doing well as we enter this last week of August. I am anticipating my day job will be picking up to peak levels soon here, as September and October tend to be our busiest time. In preparation for having less time to work on my other endeavors, I really must do my best to better prioritize my projects and "stock up" on content by scanning extra Wards pages to edit and filming as many videos as I can when I get a free day to do so. Which, also, thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last post, the encouragement is very much appreciated!

Speaking of videos, I'm off to film a few tonight! See you all again soon :)
