Spring Style Inspiration 2017

I can't be the only one ready for spring fashions, so today I offer you some of the images that have been inspiring me as I wait for spring to arrive! I'm dreaming of pastel suiting, the return of crisp cottons, and frothy veiled toy tilt hats! I can't get the idea of a floral eyelet dress in white cotton out of my head, I've just got to find the right fabric. Did any of you see my new white heeled oxfords on instagram? Perfect for the spring ahead I should think, with matching white gloves and flowers for my hair :)

Anyone else planning spring ensembles already for the moment the new season arrives? What is on your spring wishlist? Tell me in the comments below <3

  1. It's already spring here. I wore a sundress yesterday and got a sunburn. My main sewing goal for the summer is to make jackets to match all my linen skirts so I have some summer suits.

  3. All of these are absolutely delectable! I am so over the cold weather that we've been having here lately - our weather has been up an down for a while, and I cannot wait for real spring.
I just got a couple of veiled hats, so I was really excited to see some of these images. I've been having a hard time figuring out the right look for one of them, so your inspo is actually very helpful to me! And the pink dress with the green suit is such a lovely color combo, I might have to try that.

    1. Oddly it has been crazy windy here lately, but not too cold, I eagerly await real spring weather as well. I loooove veiling so I should break out some of my veiled hats, most of mine are straw based and I feel strange wearing them in winter somehow but I suppose now it's nearly spring it would be reasonable to wear them again!

  4. On my spring wishlist are: getting my garden in order, planting some tomatoes...

Oh, *clothes*. I'm really struggling to find what I want. I just want simple little 60s shell tops, in 60s-looking fabrics. Can't seem to get them online, either repro or original. Can't find modern firms making decent substitutes - the ones I can usually rely on for 60s-feeling prints don't seem to be doing them this year. *Argh*. So I'm going to have to get on with completing a cardigan I'm making for a friend so I can knit myself some 60s style.

    1. Getting the garden in order is always fun too! I love going to pick out plants with my dad each year, we love the garden center <3 It's always a bummer when there isn't much of a particular item out there, I am on the constant hunt for 1940's blouses that won't break the bank!
