What could be better than vamping around the Japanese garden downtown? Going for ice cream afterwards! What a perfect Saturday :)
I do love a Japanese garden, and the Denver Botanical Gardens even have a traditional style tea house. Since the tea room had been left open I snuck in for a few snaps, I couldn't help myself! One day I'd love to stop by when they are actually holding a tea ceremony demonstration. I would love to visit Japan one day, its definitely a destination high on my must travel to list!
Here is the finished 1 hour dress from my recent little walk through of the style. The dress is made from a polyester crepe-ish fabric with a nice hand that I snatched off the bargain table at my favorite fabric shop. I liked the combination of geometric and more natural designs in the print as it somehow felt very 1920s to me. I styled it with my ancient gold and black t-straps, numerous flower hair combs, and some tiny round sunglasses from Sunglasses Museum on Etsy. The most wonderful glittering beaded clutch was a gift from a keen eyed friend <3 Gunmetal toned sparkle is always good! This time around the gardens were sunny and yet I forgot my parasol in the car, c'est la vie!
