Gingham at Hildebrand Ranch

The Denver Botanic Gardens have two locations, one downtown and one closer to where I live south of Denver next to the large Chatfield reservoir. The Chatfield location has become my favorite place to escape to for taking photos and having a nice little walk. The historic Hildebrand Ranch maintained on the property is a great area for photographing beautiful flowers and occasionally cute little farm animals. Sadly the animals weren't out today, but there were dozens of adorable bunnies around!

I have been wearing this gingham dress like crazy since I made it back in April. It pairs so well with any color so today I decided to wear it with my green nylon scarf and green heels from Modcloth. These heels are so comfortable, I am hoping the other colors will go on sale and I can snatch them up too!

Dress: Made by me
Belt: Target
Scarf: Vintage
Shoes: Modcloth

  2. Oh my word, what a pretty dress!!! Sweetheart necklines are my favourite style (of neckline) ever, so that just makes me love this summery frock all the more. I say "summery", and it is, but the dark blue strikes me as working well for autumn, too.

Big hugs & happy Friday wishes,
    ♥ Jessica

    1. Thank you Jessica! I quite agree that gingham still works in fall too, but as this fabric is rather thin it may require some serious layering once the temperature drops!

  3. You can't go wrong with gingham and that is a very fine dress! I like it paired with the green.
