Vintage Flair at a Tudor Lodge

Here is my other new flared pencil skirt! I just finished hemming it yesterday, as I had to make some silk boas tape to finish off the curved hem. Again this skirt is a little different than the classic pencil skirts I usually make as this one has the flare from the knee. I ended up really liking this skirt in the end and I can see it getting a lot of use in my wardrobe. Today I paired it with one of my favorite sweaters, I just adore the rusty pumpkin color and floral lace look knit. I am wearing one of the same necklaces I wore in my last outfit post! The hat however is making its first appearance on the blog. I made it to match my outfit for college graduation but never ended up wearing it! Today it finally made it into an outfit and onto the blog. I really like the feathers on this hat, I painted them with a light dusting of gold metallic acrylic paint and added rhinestone studded gold sequins to really make them unique!

I hope you guys had a lovely week, I have to get back to drafting the perfect summer blouse pattern...

  3. I love this outfit. The colour of your jumper is great and the stitch pattern so pretty, it could be a 1950's knit. The hat sets it all off perfectly.

    1. Thank you Kate! The sweater was such a good find at Forever 21, sometimes in the racks of junk, there are real gems there!
