Hollywood Agent

For a little jaunt up to Hollywood, only a dress heavily inspired by the best agent in the SSR Peggy Carter would do! Did you think I meant a different kind of agent? :) I picked up the required navy and lipstick red cotton sateen from my local Joanns and got to work. Since I had never been up to Griffith Park, let alone the observatory, and the show had actually shot scenes there for season 2, that's just where I headed to try and catch some views of LA and get photos of this dress.

Unfortunately it was rather a hazy day in Los Angeles and the views were clouded in mist. The Hollywood sign was still clearly visible so I snatched a few touristy photos with the sign in the background. It was fun to be in Hollywood again, even if only for a day. For those who don't know I spent my freshman year of college at a small school in Burbank called Woodbury University. So I lived in Burbank/North Hollywood for just under a year at age 18 (not something I recommend!). It's too bad I hadn't yet gotten into old movies back then, think of the fun I could have had running around town! I'd still love to catch a screening at the Egyptian on Hollywood Boulevard someday :)

Now that I'm back in Colorado the weather has decided to punish me for my summery California sojourn. The blizzard today was so fierce that schools and businesses all had to close and I couldn't go to work! At least I got the day to unpack and do some laundry. I'm already missing that California sunshine, it won't take much convincing to get me to plan another trip back...

  2. I thought Agent Carter soon as I saw this, fairly certain she wore these shoes in one episode right?! That architecture and that view are spectacular!

    1. Thank you Harlow! She definitely has these same shoes, which was part of the reason I just had to have them. I can't even imagine the view on a clear day, it must be amazing!

  3. Deeply gorgeous! What a becoming, timelessly lovely look and amazing backdrop for a photo shoot. I'm wild about this dress, very much including the degree of fullness in the skirt, and think it looks sensational on you.

    Tons of hugs,

    1. Thank you Jessica! I am super happy with how this dress came out, even if patterning the collar took a lot longer than it should have because I kept getting confused ;)

  4. Bianca, you look absolutely lovely!! I've never been to the observatory, but I think I'll make a special trip in the summer to explore LA more. Glad you had such a great time here in the great state of California. Hopefully we can meet when you next visit.

    1. Thank you Carla! I had never been before either but it was really cool! The park itself was crowded though so parking was a bit crazy. Next time I'll have to try and not jam pack my schedule like I did this trip so hopefully we can meet up (and perhaps Janey too?) as I'd love to meet you guys in person :)

    1. Thanks Porcelina! It was very sunny but also rather foggy/hazy too which was an odd combination!
