Farm Girl Flapper

Yesterday my mom and I headed out to visit the second location of the Denver Botanical Gardens. As you may have noticed, I visit the downtown location all the time, but I had never visited the Chatfield location before! There was a Victorian ranch, an old schoolhouse and plenty of nature trails to wander through. I decided to throw on the last of the three chiffon 20's dresses I made earlier this year. I have worn this dress several times and yet it has never made it onto the blog!

I couldn't help but come up with a little story for this glam flapper outfit out on the farm. I liked the idea of a country girl leaving life on the ranch for the big city, learning the charleston and hitting it big on the stage, then visiting home to finding nothing has changed. Any excuse for me to get dressed up guys :)

Luckily I already have a few fabrics in my stash to make a few 20's dresses for fall and winter, but only after my 18th century project is done I promise!

    1. Thank you Tanith! I sadly ended up with a few bug bites after spending the day out in the nature, but it was worth if for the nice backdrop!

  2. You look sensational!!! I literally whistled aloud when I saw these photos. What a stellar 1920s ensemble and location to highlight its beauty in.
